Bmw ix battery size has plenty to offer, from its unique Hyperpop-inspired design to the roomy cabin that can seat five in comfort. It’s also fast and rock solid on twisty roads, no matter which model you choose, thanks to all-wheel drive and dual electric motor technology (one on each axle). The iX’s battery size is smaller than that of most other electric vehicles, but it’s still more than capable of going the distance between charges.
The iX’s nickel and cobalt lithium-ion battery packs deliver usable energy capacities of up to 105.2 kWh on the xDrive50 and even more in the M60 model. This allows the iX to deliver power ranging from 322 combined horsepower in the xDrive40 to a tire-shredding 610 horses in the M60.
When it comes to charging, the iX can plug into any standard 7.4kW home wallbox and recharge to full in about 11 hours. It can also take advantage of rapid charging stations with a CCS connection, which can charge the car to 80% in around 35 minutes.
Electric Vehicle Company: Innovators and Market Leaders
The iX’s battery is covered by a warranty that lasts eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. BMW’s EVs are also backed by the company’s 24/7 roadside assistance and a free year of membership in its Care by BMW service program. And because there are fewer moving parts in an electric vehicle, BMW says the iX is also more reliable than cars with conventional engines.
